Is everyone able to learn and feel mathematics, physics and computer science? Possibly no.
But I trust everyone can fully learn and feel literature, art and philosophy. This is directly because we are human, and they are called “humanities”, as their essence shows.

I often feel a direct impulse to read literature, to listen music, to pursue our defined “beauty” and to think about human. I will also leave a question that doesn’t everyone have the instinct as a human to consider all of them? Though some of us answered that I’m special, I insist we’re born to feel humanities even if we didn’t notice. We love watching beautiful artworks regardless of their forms, and this is because we’re motivated to understand other human’s meanings and thoughts. Why are we rejecting AI works? If two works with the same theme, we’ll always offer tags like “human” or “true” to the human version and reject the AI version. This is not only because we’re inclined to choose homogenity but also because human is mysterious and unable to be fully opened from every human’s perspective: but AI could be fully understood by us, to much extent, via electronic units and cold codes.

Do you know the feeling of touching “beauty” itself? In my opinion, I can even set this feeling as the most “true” and “direct” type among many feelings. At one night last year, when I read an excerpt of Walden, I was reading a part ONLY describing complete landscapes and imagery of the lake. The wordings, the style, the atmosphere, the expression, the literary techniques and the diction all contribute to a single, powerful shock: this is beautiful. That’s all the feeling I can feel, and that’s enough for me to feel happy and unbelievable in a few days. During this process, I’m feeling “beauty” just like taste, touch and smell. Very direct, very straightforward, very impactive. Similarly, when I see a video filling with unbelivably beuatiful patterns, when I listen to a piece of music coinciding my taste perfectly, I love the feeling of touch beauty. I think that there is a deeper allusion and truth under beauty: maybe humanity, or maybe something more surreal.

Let’s then talk about creation. Creating art is as exciting as seeing art. In cliche, it’s a sense of proud and possession, but it’s purer than other types of such feelings. I want to ask other people about this creation of art. Personally, when I draw, for example, I think creating itself is a very romantic existence. Even if I draw very simple outlines and curves, I like it. This is a pure feeling, maybe I’m too verbose, but it’s pure, and I can only feel “like”: I like it! When I write, I’ll read again, and feel how proud about how I can understand my own meaning. I know that other people couldn’t sit in my eyes to feel completely, but I’m happy and that’s enough.
